The 50-16SSIT2 replaces the previous version 50-16SSIT and now only contains 2 instead of 4 base brackets. Also the universal adapters are no longer included, these are now available seperately under item number 50-16USIT. This is not because Rhino-Rack wants to provide less, but rather because initial experience with the previous version has shown that it is a quick-release system that serves a very specific purpose on the vehicle. The best example of this is the Sunseeker awning, which already has a 50-16SSIT2 and a 50-16USIT universal adapter kit included.
